PBS Learning Media: The Great American Muslim Road Trip

PBS Learning Media has released these clips of UPF's Great Muslim American Road Trip for the social studies classroom. These are suitable for Grades 6-8 and 9-12 and tie into standards of learning. Follow a millennial Muslim American couple on a cross-country journey along historic Route 66. As they meet new friends and explore more than a dozen stops, Mona and Sebastian weave a colorful story about what it means to be Muslim in America today. They meet tech entrepreneurs, activists, restauranteurs, refugees, jazz musicians, and much more. Lesson activities include background readings, research projects, and a Google Earth annotated map extension.
