CCAS is honored to welcome Professor Noura Erakat as the 2024 Kareema Al-Khoury lecturer. She will present "The Limits and Potential of International Law in Achieving Accountability in Gaza." Professor Erakat is an Associate Professor of Africana Studies and the Program in Criminal Justice at Rutgers University, New Brunswick and the author of Justice for Some: Law and the Question of Palestine (Stanford University Press, 2019). She will discuss international law in the context of the current crisis in Gaza.

The annual lecture is given in honor of Kareema Al-Khoury whose family established the event in 1976 to bring eminent scholars of the Arab world to Georgetown for a public lecture.
