Bilateral US-Arab Chamber’s annual Teachers Educating Across Cultures in Harmony (TEACH) Fellowship program. You would travel to Bahrain for a week in March (probably March 7-13). Qatar Foundation International is offering $2000 grants to K-12 teachers for professional development programs OR professional travel related to the Arab world. (For example, people could apply to attend a Middle East-related summer institute or weekend workshop somewhere in the U.S. or participants could use funding to attend a Middle East GEEO travel program – see below – or….) “Challenge Islamophobia Project,” a project of Teaching for Change - https://www.challengeislamophobia.org/ - has many great resources for teachers. There are lesson plans, including “Who Benefits from Islamophobia: Investigating the Profit Motive behind Bigotry and Discrimination,” “Black Muslims in the United States: An Introductory Activity,” and “Whose Terrorism? Analyzing Stories of Individuals.” There are articles and other resources.
