Rational: Popular misconceptions derived from broadcast and print media sources on both sides portray a position of absolutes. An unbiased study of the region is necessary to evaluate and understand the opposing viewpoints, position and acts of the principal parties involved in the conflict. No valid position or suggested solution can be formulated by students without understanding the geography, economics and social organizations of the region
