Carnegie Middle East Center A Disordered World: What to Expect in 2020

The Carnegie Middle East Center invites you to its fourth annual conference, titled A Disordered World: What to Expect in 2020, which will take place on Monday, December 02, 2019 at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut.

The conference will provide a look ahead to 2020, focusing on what Carnegie scholars believe will be the most significant and challenging issues facing the world, specifically the Middle East and North Africa region. The panels will include scholars from Carnegie's offices in Beijing, Brussels, Moscow, and Washington, who will delve into the issues facing the region from various viewpoints.

The event will be held in English with simultaneous interpretation to Arabic.

Jon Bateman is a fellow with the Cyber Policy Initiative at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

William J. Burns is the president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Suzanne DiMaggio is a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Michele Dunne is a senior fellow and the director of the Middle East Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Yasmine Farouk is a visiting fellow with the Middle East Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Evan Feigenbaum is vice president for studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Alexander Gabuev is a senior fellow and chair of the Russia in the Asia-Pacific Program at the Carnegie Moscow Center.

Kim Ghattas is a BBC corespondent and former senior visiting scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Marwan Muasher is vice president for studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
